A Soundworld all its Own
The world of Wendmor is a fantastical, cozy, and wondrous place that deserves not just a bespoke soundtrack - but a soundworld. This soundworld brings warmth, wonder, and a sense of connection to the diverse peoples and locations of Wendmor - from quiet moments by the fireside to journeys into the unknown. This fantastical world of sound is the work of Dr. Ross Mitchell at Mystic Chord Music, composer and audio director for Tales from Wendmor.
Wendmor is a place to remember
Music makes Wendmor feel familiar, safe and alive. It gives stories their emotion, characters their personality and the world its rhythm. When those melodies return with familiar places, people and moments, they bring the experience back with them. The music becomes part of how you remember Wendmor.
The music carries you through the stories, discoveries and quizzes that make Wendmor grow. Here, quizzes feel like part of the adventure, each opening up a little more of the world. You never have to learn about Wendmor — you absorb it through its stories, its characters, its images and its melodies.
The rhythms of Wendmor
Wendmor is always changing. The seasons turn quickly, one day giving way to the next, and the village feels different in bright daylight than it does after dark. During the day there is bustle, movement and work. At night, the world softens. Windows glow, paths grow quiet and familiar places take on a different mood.
The music moves with these changes. The central hub town of Seven Mile Bottom has a distinctive musical theme that has 8 total variations, one for each season in day and night. Each variation takes a radically different approach to the same melody - bringing to life the heat of summer days, the peace of a winter’s evening, and the boundless excitement of a spring morning. Each season feels unique, yet their common Wendmorian nature ties them together.

Tales
At the heart of Tales from Wendmor are short interactive stories — adventures filled with places, characters, discoveries and emotion. Music and visuals shape those moments, adding tension, wonder, warmth or melancholy alongside the story.
Strengthening players’ wisdom and memories is our focus, and tales crystalize these memories into concrete stories. Music brings these stories to life and strengthens the process of memory creation. Have you ever heard a song and felt like you were brought back to a moment earlier in your life, vividly reliving what you experienced, felt, and thought? The music for our Tales reinforces this kind of memory development.

Entering Ashkar Deep
A mountain erupts
In the Legend of Ashkar, Mount Kareth begins to rumble. The music builds in tension until the volcano erupts, bringing magma, lava and the fury of Vulcan, the Roman god of fire, into the story.
These ideas now have a place, a moment and a feeling attached to them—something to picture, hear and remember.
A meadow begins to glow
In the Valley of Quiet Light, the characters pause in a meadow as darkness settles. Tiny organisms glow softly among the plants, while quiet, slightly melancholic music draws them into the stillness.
A gentle introductory quiz on light and color connects their discoveries. It unlocks in-game rewards and a fuller quiz, where new questions add detail and deepen those first connections.

Valley of Quiet Light
The villagers
The village of Seven Mile Bottom is home to people with their own personalities, strengths, flaws, shops and stories—and, of course, their own melodies. Players may love some of them, roll their eyes at others, or gradually change their minds. As those villagers become familiar, so do the moments shared with them. Luna was there when the glowing meadow was discovered. Alaric was convinced the footprints on his farm were made by a four-metre-tall chicken.
When their melodies return, they bring back a character, a place, a tale — and the ideas encountered along the way.

The Moonleaf Apothecary
The Moonleaf Apothecary
At Luna's Moonleaf Apothecary, the music reflects Luna herself: friendly, resourceful, playful and just a little cheeky. A bright clarinet gives the tune its character, while a teasing fermata — a note held a little longer — creates a mischievous pause, as though Luna has become absorbed in a thought … before something else catches her interest.

Stonecart Supplies
Stonecart Supplies
At Taren's Stonecart Supplies, the music reflects Taren’s steady nature. Seven Mile Bottom’s builder and stonemason is a gentle giant — dependable, grounded and rarely in a hurry. His theme is inspired by Gregorian chants, with slow, powerful beats that echo the rhythm of work in the quarry, underpinned by deep, quiet voices that give it a sense of strength and weight.
Taren is Tale of Wendmor's musical anchor point. He gives the term Rock Music a whole new meaning.
Underroot Hollow
At Bayak's Underroot Hollow, the music reflects Bayak’s sharp senses and quiet, observant nature. She comes from a people with owl-like features, feels most at home in the forest, and often prefers watching and listening to being at the centre of things.
Crisp xylophone notes give her theme a bird-like quality, suggesting small woodland calls and movements in the undergrowth. The music invites you to listen a little more closely, as Bayak does, to the life stirring all around her.

Underroot Hollow
The Wyrm's Wing
At The Wyrm’s Wing, the music reflects Azar’s love of stories, company and a lively evening by the fire. Everyone in Wendmor seems to know him, and he is happiest at the centre of a good gathering — though he has a habit of fading into the background when things become difficult.
His theme draws on Irish pub music, using traditional instruments and a warm, communal rhythm that makes the inn feel like a place for stories, songs and familiar faces.
